Uniglaze 2 (East Anglia) Ltd. was established in 1983 as a sealed unit manufacturer supplying mainly to the trade. Since then the company has enjoyed steady and continuous growth and at the beginning of 2005 our purpose built multi-million pound factory in New Costessey, on the outskirts of Norwich, went live. In our new factory we lead the way with a massive investment in automated glass cutting systems including state of the art fully automated cutting tables and multi glass selection systems

 Now all production has been transferred to the new plant of 13,200 square meters including two new Tamglass toughening plants and six sealed unit lines, the site can produce up to 40,000 units per week.

 Our Barker Street branch, also in Norwich, opened in 1998 as our glazing and glass processing division. Here we offer many types of glass processing, mirrored glass and the delivery of stock sheet size glass. Barker Street also has a trade counter to allow the general public to buy Uniglaze 2's high quality sealed units and processed glass.

 The company has invested in new premises and equipment to continue manufacturing to fulfil the trade’s requirements, including three spacer bar bending machines and six automated sealed unit lines. This provides us with substantial production flexibility so that in the unlikely event of a plant breakdown, manufacture can quickly be switched to another line thus eliminating any inconvenience to the customer.

 We feel strongly about providing a comprehensive service and our distribution network is second to none, offering a fast delivery where and when you need it across East Anglia, Lincolnshire and the south east.


The latest addition to Uniglaze 2's fleet
 Both our toughened glass and double glazed insulating units are British Standard Kitemarked products. This means our glass products are manufactured in strict accordance with BS EN 1279:2002 for sealed units and BS EN 12150:2004 for toughened glass. To achieve this coveted, prestigious mark, we have our products independently evaluated to ensure that they conform to the stated standards and our quality system is assessed to ensure we can produce products consistently to the standard required. Not only do our products and systems undergo rigorous initial assessments but they are subjected to follow-ups and independent audit testing on an on-going basis. Because of this our units have a ten year warranty when glazed correctly into PVC or aluminium frames and five years in hard wood frames. All of our toughened glass incorporates the British Standards Kitemark logo as an assurance that the product meets the required standards.
