.::. Our factory |

Our multi-million pound factory commenced construction in March 2004. As the factory was purpose built for us we were able to stipulate the exact specifications for the building to suit our requirements thus resulting in a factory optimised for our production needs. To this end the factory, completed at the end of 2004, is ¼ kilometre long and 60 metres wide allowing us to install the latest in glass cutting and sealed unit production technology.
 The factory under construction
Contained within the facility are:
- Six cutting tables, including three capable of cutting laminated glass
- Three multi-glass selection systems allowing each table to cut a wide variety of glass types.
- Four automatic arrasing and washing machines.
- Two toughening plants each able to toughen clear, obscure and coated glass up to 19mm thick and 4800mm x 2440mm in size.
- Three automatic spacer bar bending machines.
- An automatic georgian bar stapling machine.
- Six sealed unit lines including an automatic shape sealing line, and two automatic argon filling lines.
 Tamglass toughening plant
In addition to high specification machinery, we have space for 18 personnel to apply lead, coloured film and bevel designs to the customer’s exact requirements; and 19 lorry bays to allow the end product to be efficiently loading for delivery. Above the despatch area of the factory is a self contained office area of some 1,000 square metres housing our production control, customer care accounts, estimating and IT staff all using the latest glass industry specific software running on powerful IBM computer hardware.
 The completed factory
We have made a substantial investment in this new-build project and computer software to enable us to provide a first class service and top quality products to our customers now and for many years to come.
